*THE CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY MIGHTY MARCHING PANTHER BAND

Although it is but one part of the total band program, the Marching Band is the organization that people think as "The Clark Atlanta Band." The special unit is the embodiment of school spirit, which is the keystone of the band's success.

As a member of the Marching Band, you are a part of a very enthusiastic group of students who thoroughly enjoy their band experience, while performing the highest standard of music.

The Marching Band presents halftime shows at all home games and travels to away games during the football season. The band combines precision drills and custom arrangements with an intense spirit. We are one of the most exciting university marching bands in the nation.

*THE CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY ROARING PANTHER PEP BAND

The Clark Atlanta University Pep Band performs during selected home basketball games and playoff games. Members in the Pep Band are also members of the Marching and Symphonic Bands.

*THE CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY SYMPHONIC BAND

The finest musicians in the band program combine to form the Symphonic Band, which is the major performing concert organization in the band program. Students represent the University both musically and personally at campus concerts and on concert tours each year.

*THE CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY JAZZ ORCHESTRA

The Clark Atlanta University Jazz Orchestra is designed for those who wish to perform the best "Big Band" jazz charts. An audition is required for membership. The Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of James Patterson, performs at jazz festivals, campus concerts, and national and international tours each year.

*ESSENCE

The Essence Dance Team is comprised of lovely and talented young ladies who perform with the Marching and Pep Bands as well as apart from the band.

*THE "Silver Breeze Dynasty" Flag Corps

This flag corps features several talented and lovely young ladies that perform majorette functions for the band.
